Travel

I have always enjoyed travel. There is the excitement of seeing new places and learning new things. My first sight of the mountains and the ocean are still in my mind.

With age my travel became more purposeful. It has become an opportunity to study a new part of the world; to understand its history, culture, and people. What I learn makes more sense when I can connect it to a place I have visited and often the actual site an event took place. It makes it real and understandable.

Of course, there is simply the escape and relaxation the goes with some travel. I can enjoy that but often not for long.

I have written travel diaries and blogs for some of my trips. For some I have put the pictures and my narrative into a video. The links below will take you to my trip pages.
